VIDEO: President Obama condemns the killing of American journalist

During a press conference in Estonia, the US President Obama on Wednesday condemned the killing of American journalist Steven Sotloff at the hands of Islamist militants.

At a press conference in the Estonian capital Tallinn, Obama said that the US objective now is to "degrade and destroy" the Isis militants responsible, so that they no longer pose a threat to the civilised world.

Calling the murder of journalist Steven Sotloff a "horrific act of violence," President Obama extended the condolences of the nation to the family of slain. The President said that the United States "will not be intimidated" by this murder or that of journalist James Foley.
