Unustage Oscarid! Kuldvaarikad kuulutasid välja möödunud aasta halvimate filmide esmase valiku
Paljukirutud, aga maailma kinodes korralikult teeninud DC superkangelasefilm "Batman v Superman: Õigluse koidik" võib "hea" õnne korral saada kõige rohkem nominatsioone: halvim eellugu, uusversioon või järg; halvim stsenaarium; halvim meeskõrvalosatäitja; halvim režissöör, halvim meesnäitleja; halvim film. Olukorra teeb veel humoorikamaks see, et "Batman vs Superman" on praeguse seisuga esindatud kahes kategoorias lausa kahe nominatsiooniga: halvim näitleja (Ben Affleck või Henry Cavill) ning halvim meeskõrvalosatäitja (Jeremy Irons või Jesse Eisenberg).
Kuldvaarikate üle andmisele kutsutakse staarid ka alati kohale, kuid arusaadavatel põhjustel ei ole nad valmis oma "võidu" järgi minema, kuigi viimastel aastatel on tekkinud kasvav trend, kus režissöörid, näitlejad ja produtsendid lähevadki tseremooniale kohale. Viimati tegid seda 2010. aastal kümnendi halvima filmi eriauhinna pälvinud ulmefilmi "Battlefield Earth" stsenarist J. David Shapiro ning komöödia "All About Steve" eest halvima naisnäitleja ja halvima ekraanipartnerite kategooria võitnud Sandra Bullock.
